The xTool M1 Ultra 20W Deluxe Bundle is a 4-in-1 tabletop craft machine combining a 20 W diode laser, CMY inkjet printing, precision blade cutting, and pen drawing in a single Class 1-certified enclosure. A 300 mm × 300 mm working area, 400 mm/s maximum speed, and 0.01 mm motion accuracy let it handle over 1,000 materials — from 10 mm basswood to fine vinyl — for makers, designers, and small-batch creators.
| Working Area | 300 mm × 300 mm (Laser / Blade / Pen Mode) |
|---|---|
| Max. Working Speed | 400 mm/s |
| Laser Power | 20 W (switchable 10 W / 20 W) |
| Motion Accuracy | 0.01 mm |
4-in-1: One Machine, Four Creative Modes
Where most craft machines do one job, the M1 Ultra does four — and switches between modes in 3 seconds via Easy Swap™ design. No separate devices to maintain, no divided workspace, no compromises on quality.
Laser Mode — Engrave and Cut
The switchable 10 W / 20 W blue diode laser (455 nm, TÜV SÜD Class 1 certified) cuts through 10 mm basswood and 8 mm acrylic in a single pass. For engraving, the beam focuses to a 0.06 mm × 0.08 mm spot at 20 W, capturing fine text and intricate designs with photographic-level detail. This machine is a CES 2025 TWICE Picks Award Winner.
- Laser cuttable: wood, opaque acrylic, paper, MDF, leather
- Laser engravable: wood, acrylic, leather, stainless steel, plated metal, coated glass, ceramic, marble
Blade Mode — Cut, Foil, and Deboss
Three interchangeable blade types cover a broad material range: fine-point blade (up to 1.5 mm — stickers, vinyl, PVC), cutting blade (up to 2.5 mm — leather, matboard, balsa wood), and rotary blade add-on (denim, cotton, linen). A foil transfer tip and hot foil pen deliver metallic embellishments on paper, cardstock, leather, and acrylic.
Inkjet Mode — Full-Color Printing on Unconventional Surfaces
The CMY Inkjet Module (included in the Deluxe Bundle) prints vivid, multi-color designs directly onto wood, canvas, fabric, coated stone, cardstock, and more. The print-to-cut workflow lets you print a pattern and laser-cut it in the same session without repositioning the material — impossible with any standalone printer and laser combination.
Pen Mode — Precise Drawing and Writing
Install any fine-point pen or compatible third-party marker (including Cricut pens) to plot precise strokes, calligraphy fills, or multi-color illustrations. The machine supports open-lid processing in pen mode, accommodating longer pens and taller objects without restriction.
20 W Laser: Cut Deeper, Engrave Finer
Pushing 20 W through a 455 nm blue diode, the M1 Ultra reaches material depths that most desktop machines in its class cannot match — without sacrificing edge quality or burn accuracy.
Single-Pass Cutting Depths
- Basswood: 10 mm at 20 W — one pass; 6 mm at 10 W — one pass
- Acrylic: 8 mm at 20 W — one pass; 5 mm at 10 W — one pass
Fewer passes mean cleaner cut edges, less thermal spread, and faster batch production runs.
0.01 mm Motion Accuracy and Pin-Point™ Positioning
Rather than relying on a single overhead camera, the Pin-Point™ Positioning system uses a multi-point reference method that is 10 times more accurate than single-camera systems. Photograph your material layout on your phone, confirm the design overlay in the xTool app, and the machine aligns the job without distortion — even on irregular shapes, curved surfaces, or previously-worked stock.
RA2 Pro 4-in-1 Rotary Attachment
The included RA2 Pro rotary module extends laser engraving to cylindrical, spherical, ring, and chunky objects. Tumblers, wine bottles, baseballs, and bangles all become personalizable products. With the Riser Base (included in the Deluxe Bundle), the maximum rotary engraving diameter reaches 99 mm and the maximum laser processing height reaches 125 mm.
Blade Mode: From Delicate Paper to Tough Leather
The M1 Ultra's blade system covers a wider material range than any standalone vinyl cutter, with matching precision at every cutting depth.
Fine-Point Blade — Paper, Vinyl, and Stickers
Maximum cutting depth of 1.5 mm — ideal for intricate paper designs, stickers, vinyl decals, and PVC films. The LightGrip cutting mat secures lightweight sheets without adhesive transfer or residue.
Cutting Blade — Leather, Matboard, and Balsa
Handles materials up to 2.5 mm thick — leather goods, matboard, and balsa wood cut cleanly in a single stroke. The FabricGrip mat pairs with the optional rotary blade to glide through woven denim, cotton, and linen without fraying edges.
Foil Transfer Tip and Hot Foil Pen
Apply metallic foil accents or elegant debossing to paper, cardstock, and leather with the Foil Transfer Tip. For more vibrant, durable results on acrylic, leather, and thicker substrates, the Hot Foil Pen delivers superior adhesion and richer colour — wedding invitations, branded packaging, and artisan journals all benefit from the premium finish.
Inkjet Module: CMY Color on Surfaces Paper Printers Cannot Reach
The CMY Inkjet Module transforms the M1 Ultra into a direct-surface printer unlike anything in a standard office setup. Ink is deposited onto the workpiece itself — no transfer paper, no separate laminate step required.
Compatible Inkjet Surfaces
- Paper and cardstock
- Natural wood and plywood
- Canvas and woven fabric
- Coated stone and clay
- Inkjet-compatible acrylic
Note: Very dense or smooth surfaces (bare metal, glass, uncoated ceramics) require an appropriate ink coating before printing, as the ink cannot penetrate or adhere to non-porous substrates without surface preparation.
Inkjet Working Area and Print-to-Cut Workflow
The inkjet zone measures 296 mm × 286 mm. Combined with the laser module in a single session, the print-to-cut workflow lets you print a full-colour image, then switch modules and laser-cut the printed piece to exact contours — all without removing the material from the bed.
Class 1 Laser Safety — Worry-Free at Home and in the Studio
Certified Class 1 by TÜV SÜD (IEC 60825-1:2014, EN 60825-1:2014/A11:2021), the M1 Ultra fully encloses the 20 W working laser. The amber-tinted polycarbonate cover blocks all laser radiation during operation while allowing visual monitoring of the job in progress.
- Eye-protecting cover — filters all laser wavelengths; safe for bystanders at normal viewing distances
- Lid-open stop design — safety interlock halts all processing immediately if the lid is lifted
- Tilt detection — built-in motion sensor stops the machine if it is accidentally displaced during operation
- AI fire detection — integrated camera monitors for anomalous flame signatures and triggers an emergency stop
The indicator LED and buzzer provide real-time status: solid green = processing, slow yellow blink = lid open or device shaken, red blink = large flame detected. The physical safety key locks all processing functions when removed from the device.
Pin-Point™ Positioning and xTool Studio Software
Smartphone Snapshot Preview
Photograph your material layout with a phone camera. The image transfers directly to the xTool app, where you can map irregular shapes, batch-fill identical objects across the full 300 mm × 300 mm workspace, or overlay the design preview with sub-millimetre accuracy — all before committing to a single pass of the laser or blade.
xTool Studio — Windows and macOS
xTool Studio handles SVG, DXF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, and TIF files. Connect via USB, Wi-Fi, or direct IP. The built-in Almake AI converts simple text prompts into production-ready vector art for engraving, cutting, or printing. For beginners, the xTool Creative Space app (iOS / Android) provides guided project templates, one-click processing combinations, and a community library of downloadable designs.

How to Get Started with the xTool M1 Ultra
Set up and run your first project on the xTool M1 Ultra in six steps, following the official Quick Start Guide.
Step 1 — Remove Transport Screws and Install the Laser Module
Remove the shipping screws that fix the X-axis and Y-axis guide rails. Slide the laser module onto the multi-function carriage and lock it in place according to the alignment marks on the carriage body.
Step 2 — Attach the Smoke Exhaust Module
Fit the smoke exhaust module to the rear vent port. Always install the filter before powering on — operating without the filter will allow smoke and particulates to enter and damage the exhaust motor.
Step 3 — Insert the Safety Key and Connect Power
Insert the safety key into the key port to enable all laser and processing functions. Connect the power adapter and toggle the power switch on the rear panel. The indicator LED will show solid white (standby, AP mode).
Step 4 — Download xTool Studio and Connect the Device
Download xTool Studio from s.xtool.com/software (Windows or macOS), or install xTool Creative Space on your smartphone. Connect the machine via USB cable, Wi-Fi, or direct IP address. The indicator turns solid purple once the device is connected to the software.
Step 5 — Place Material and Install the Appropriate Module
Select the module for your task (laser, inkjet, blade, or pen) and install it on the carriage using Easy Swap™ in about 3 seconds. Lay your material on the cutting mat or honeycomb surface, then photograph the layout with your phone and confirm the design position using Pin-Point™ Positioning in the xTool app.
Step 6 — Send the Design and Press Start
Import or create your design in xTool Studio, select the processing mode and material parameters, confirm the preview position via Pin-Point™, then press the Start/Stop button on the machine or click Process in the software. The LED turns solid green during active processing.
What is the difference between the xTool M1 Ultra and the xTool S1?
The M1 Ultra is a 4-in-1 multifunctional craft machine (laser 10 W / 20 W, inkjet, blade, pen) with a 300 mm x 300 mm working area and 400 mm/s speed, supporting over 1,000 materials including vinyl and fabric. The S1 is a dedicated laser engraver with a larger 498 mm x 330 mm workspace, speeds up to 600 mm/s, and power options up to 40 W, optimised for high-throughput laser cutting and engraving of larger or thicker pieces.
What materials is the xTool M1 Ultra compatible with?
The M1 Ultra supports over 1,000 materials across its four modes: laser mode processes wood, acrylic, leather, MDF, stainless steel, plated metal, coated glass, ceramic, and marble; blade mode handles vinyl, paper, PVC, leather, and fabric; inkjet mode prints on paper, cardstock, wood, canvas, and acrylic; pen mode works on paper and ceramics.
What surfaces can the Inkjet Module print on?
The Inkjet Module prints directly on fabrics, boards, printing paper, wood, canvas, and coated materials. Very dense or smooth surfaces (bare metal, glass, uncoated ceramics) require an appropriate ink coating before printing, as the ink cannot penetrate or adhere to non-porous substrates without surface preparation.
How do I customize a T-shirt with the xTool M1 Ultra?
Two methods are available: use the xTool Screen Printer — engrave a screen template with the M1 Ultra laser, then transfer ink to the T-shirt fabric for colourful art and simple designs; or use the xTool Heat Press — cut a vinyl pattern with the M1 Ultra blade mode, then apply it to the T-shirt using heat and pressure (compatible with HTV, sublimation, and DTF transfers, suitable for more intricate patterns).
How do I engrave a tumbler with the xTool M1 Ultra?
Install the RA2 Pro 4-in-1 Rotary attachment (included in the Deluxe Bundle) and place the tumbler on the rollers. For objects taller than 27 mm, use the Riser Base (also included in the bundle) to extend the maximum laser processing height to 125 mm, accommodating rotary diameters of 0–99 mm.
