Bambu Lab A1 is a 3D printer for rapid part production, featuring fully automatic calibration. A build volume of 256 × 256 × 256 mm allows you to create large items in a single cycle. A speed of up to 500 mm/s combined with active vibration compensation guarantees dimensional accuracy and stability.
Key features and benefits
- Build volume: 256 × 256 × 256 mm — Create large models or entire batches of small parts in a single working cycle.
- Print speed: up to 500 mm/s — Complete projects on time thanks to kinematics with an acceleration of 10,000 mm/s².
- Noise level: 48 dB — Work next to the equipment without discomfort thanks to active motor noise cancellation.
- Fully automatic calibration: the device independently adjusts the Z-axis offset, levels the bed and calibrates the nozzle pressure before each task.
- AMS lite support: connect up to four spools for multicolour printing with RFID tag reading for automatic profile configuration.
- Real-time flow control: a nozzle pressure sensor compensates for extrusion pulsations, forming smooth surfaces and sharp corners at high speed.
Kinematics and print quality
To ensure stability at high speeds, the Bambu Lab A1 is equipped with an all-metal hotend and low-friction linear rails. A dual-core Cortex M4 processor controls acceleration and vibration compensation, preventing the appearance of defects on the part's surface. The maximum volumetric flow reaches 28 mm³/s, maintaining stable extrusion without under-extrusion of plastic.

Bambu Lab's fully automatic calibration with intelligent surface scanning of the Bambu Smooth PEI guarantees a perfect first layer on the very first try. Just plug in and print!

Active motor noise cancellation allows the device to be used in a study or office. The algorithm calibrates parameters to compensate for the individual deviations of each drive motor, eliminating high-frequency resonances during rapid axis movement.

The status monitoring system continuously tracks the process. When the optional AMS lite module is present, multi-material operation is available. A filament tangle sensor instantly stops printing in the event of a feeding problem.

Automation and remote control
The built-in 1080P camera broadcasts a low-framerate video stream and creates timelapses. The user controls the process via the touch screen or proprietary apps. Power loss recovery protects hours-long tasks from power grid failures.

The local area network (LAN-only) mode guarantees the confidentiality of your designs. In this mode, the device receives files directly from the slicer, bypassing cloud servers, which complies with European cybersecurity standards (EU RED).

Areas of application
This model provides a balance between speed and detail, making it effective for a range of technical and creative tasks.

The convenient magnetic build plate simplifies the removal of finished items without using sharp tools.

- Prototyping: check the shape and ergonomics of products thanks to a printhead movement speed of up to 500 mm/s.
- Functional parts: use PETG and TPU to create durable elements of mechanisms.
- Small-batch production: print batches of components with consistent quality thanks to automatic nozzle pressure control.
- Design and decor: combine different colours using the AMS lite system without manually changing the plastic.
Compatible accessories and materials
- Build plates:compatible with Bambu Textured PEI, Smooth PEI, High Temperature Plate and Cool Plate.
- Filaments:optimised for PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA; materials with carbon or glass fibre (CF/GF) require replacing the nozzle with a hardened steel one.
- Accessories:support for the AMS lite module (up to 4 colours) using the AMS HUB.
