Formlabs Fuse Blast High Capacity: how it works
The Formlabs Fuse Blast High Capacity Kit replaces the standard basket in an existing Fuse Blast. It increases the number of parts that undergo blast processing per cycle. This is the recommended configuration for Fuse X1 owners and for fleets of several Fuse 1 Series printers. Such fleets regularly process large batches. The wider loading opening simplifies placing parts in the chamber, while the increased volume prevents overloading, which could damage parts during basket rotation.
Basket and liner construction
The kit includes the Large Tumbler Basket together with an additional Liner Kit. The perforated stainless-steel housing holds the parts during rotation. The textured black chamber bowl distributes the abrasive material evenly across the surface of the parts.
Tool-free installation
The basket is installed in an existing Fuse Blast within a few minutes, without tools and without equipment modification. The rotating perforated chamber with nozzle and control panel remains unchanged — the operator only replaces the basket and liner.
Abrasive processing material
The cylindrical perforated chamber holds reusable glass bead abrasive material, which circulates around the parts as the basket rotates. This approach ensures uniform surface processing of large batches without additional manual intervention.
