UltiMaker Factor 4: Industrial 3D Printing at a New Level
The Factor 4 is built for production. It guarantees the reliability, repeatability, and verification of every print. With support for technical materials, dual direct extrusion, and integrated print process reporting, this printer achieves unmatched predictability and minimal variance.
The Factor 4 also supports direct drive extrusion for flexible materials, enabling rapid switching from highly flexible materials to tough composites. Its rigid H-bridge frame and direct drive printhead ensure fast dual-material printing at a maximum temperature of 340 °C.

Engineering-Grade Printing with Over 300 Materials
- Broad material support. Over 14 UltiMaker filaments, plus an open platform supporting more than 200 third-party technical materials.

- Dual direct extrusion. For producing complex parts with multiple materials: engineering-grade, flexible from Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) 95A to TPU 70A, UltiMaker Polylactic Acid (PLA), Tough PLA, Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG), PET CF, the new PPS CF, and more.

- Actively controlled temperature within a fully enclosed chamber. Ensures stable print quality even with high-performance materials.
- High accuracy. ± 0.2 mm or ± 0.2% of nominal length.

- Low variance. < 10% in extrusion speed and mechanical properties.
- Integrated print process reporting. A detailed report on deviations in extrusion parameters from nominal values — including their location and severity within the 3D model — generated after every print job. For thorough verification and quality control.
- Modular design. For straightforward maintenance and minimal downtime.
- Open system. Compatible with a wide range of materials and software.
- Air filtration. Removal of up to 95% of ultrafine particles, confirmed by independent testing, to improve air quality.
Advantages of the Factor 4
- Increased productivity. Greater production speed and efficiency with the dual extruder, making full use of the build surface during dual printing.
- Improved quality. Production of reliable, repeatable parts.
- Cost reduction. Reduced downtime and lower material costs.
- Expanded capabilities. Access to a broader range of materials and applications.
- Investment in the future. Modular design and regular updates ensure longevity and continued relevance.
Factor 4 Applications:
- Short-run production of auxiliary components.
- Creation of production tooling and jigs.
- Manufacturing of reliable spare parts.
- Development of functional engineering prototypes.
The Factor 4 – the Ideal Choice for:
- Manufacturers seeking a reliable, high-throughput 3D printer for series production.
- Engineers developing complex parts who require printing across a wide range of materials.
- Research laboratories that need a 3D printer with high accuracy and repeatable results.
Interchangeable Print Cores – Matched to Your Application and Material
UltiMaker print cores feature a quick-swap design and an EEPROM chip. They are recognised by Cura and can be swapped rapidly without tools to meet the requirements of any print job, boosting efficiency and reducing downtime.
