Raise3D E2CF 3D Printer
The new 3D Printer Raise3D E2CF – is a modern 3D printer for manufacturing applications, producing professional prints with carbon fibre-reinforced composite materials.
The Raise3D E2CF offers unlimited possibilities for functional manufacturing and prototyping, thanks to its advanced features. Its two independently moving IDEX extruders, a large build volume of 330×240×240 mm, and the new durable silicon carbide nozzles allow you to print large, complex projects or several smaller ones simultaneously — with excellent detail.
E2CF Filament Unlock Upgrade
On 13 October 2023, Raise3D introduced the E2CF Filament Unlock Upgrade , which includes firmware updates for RaiseTouch and IdeaMaker, expanding access for the E2CF to engineering filament printing — giving you the option to print with 7 new filaments:
- Industrial PET GF 1.75 mm
- Raise3D Industrial PET Support 1.75 mm
- Raise3D Premium PLA 1.75 mm
- Raise3D Premium ABS 1.75 mm
- Raise3D Premium PETG 1.75 mm

Third-party materials will also be compatible as part of the Open Filament Programme.
Current E2CF users can take advantage of this expanded access by updating to the latest version of ideaMaker (v4.3.3) and the E2CF firmware (RaiseTouch 1.6.12.614).

Simple Carbon Fibre 3D Printing with the Raise3D E2CF
The Raise3D E2CF 3D Printer is a desktop 3D printer with two independent IDEX extruders, optimised for 3D printing with carbon fibre-reinforced filaments. It is ideal for producing functional engineering parts, prototyping, and more.
Carbon fibre-reinforced filament offers low density, high strength, corrosion resistance, anti-static properties, and resistance to high temperatures. These materials have the potential for a wide range of applications in fields that demand a significant strength-to-weight ratio, such as aerospace and automotive manufacturing. The E2CF is robust, comfortable, and stable during operation, ensuring precise prints.

High-Strength Nozzles
The new silicon carbide nozzles offer excellent wear resistance and thermal conductivity, effectively reducing abrasion and making the nozzle far more durable.

Dual Direct Drive Extrusion System
High-hardness steel gears, heat-treated for improved wear resistance.
With a specially designed gear tooth profile, the filament is held firmly in place, ensuring it does not slip during extrusion. A reinforced, powerful system guarantees print stability.

IDEX Independent Dual Extruder System
The independent dual extruders on the E2CF can operate autonomously along a shared axis during printing, carrying out independent tasks or printing with different materials. This makes it possible to produce complex engineering models, print with support material, print with one extruder whilst the other remains stationary, use mirror mode, duplication mode, and more. All of this makes this printer extraordinarily productive, with extensive professional printing capabilities.


Easy E2CF Print Head Replacement
The Raise3D E2CF 3D Printer features Easy Swap Print Heads – a quick-change print head system that greatly simplifies printer maintenance and speeds up nozzle changes. Any Easy Swap replacement print head can be easily prepared with hardened nozzles in various sizes — for example, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 mm nozzles — allowing you to swap them in just a few steps and get back to printing.

Useful Features of the Raise3D E2CF 3D Printer
- Safety features . Door-open sensors, filament presence detection, and print recovery after a sudden power interruption — these are all useful functions that improve print quality and prevent losses.
- Improved calibration precision . This auxiliary process was developed specifically for fibre-reinforced materials, to increase the precision of nozzle height calibration, support adhesion, and improve first-layer print quality.
- Stable metal frame – for smooth movement and precise positioning, ensuring high-quality prints.
- Updated HEPA air filtration that operates quietly and removes toxic particles (including nanoparticles) released during the 3D printing process.
- 7-inch touchscreen for monitoring the print process, offering a convenient user experience.
3D Printing with Carbon Fibre-Reinforced Filament
The E2CF pairs ideally with Raise3D's Industrial PA12 CF filament and its support material. Carbon fibre-reinforced filaments for the E2CF are also planned: PPA CF, PET CF, and PPS CF from Raise3D (with a print temperature of 280–300 °C). In addition, third-party filaments certified under Raise3D's Open Filament Programme — such as those from BASF and LEHVOSS — will be available for the E2CF at a later date.

Raise3D Industrial PA12 CF filament is reinforced with short carbon fibres and demonstrates excellent rigidity and strength, heat resistance, low warping, and low moisture absorption. This material has an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and improved mechanical properties and dimensional stability after annealing, making it suitable as a metal replacement in the manufacture of certain lightweight components.

Raise3D Industrial PA12 CF Support Filament
The Raise3D Industrial PA12 CF Support Filament is a removable support material designed specifically for printing alongside carbon fibre-reinforced composite filaments. During the 3D printing process, it creates a stable support structure, generates adequate adhesion to printed surfaces, and prevents warping. This significantly improves the surface quality of overhangs and cavities in carbon-printed parts. The E2CF support material demonstrates broad compatibility with many high-performance carbon fibre-reinforced composite filaments and is more cost-effective compared to water-soluble support material.

Filament Dry Box for the Raise3D E2CF 3D Printer
The built-in hanging trays are used to hold filament and allow for smoother material feed. When closed, they can effectively protect the material from dust and moisture for up to 30 days.

ideaMaker Slicer Profiles for the Raise3D E2CF 3D Printer
Like most Raise3D printers, the E2CF handles series production and intelligent management through ideaMaker as its primary software solution. The E2CF has tested and verified slicer profiles in ideaMaker. The ease and quality of 3D printing are delivered by pre-configured print parameters.
