Raise3D Premium PLA Filament for 3D Printers
The Raise3D Premium PLA filament is the most common material for 3D printing, and it is exceptionally easy to use. It is the recommended filament for beginners starting out in 3D printing.
Premium PLA is a top-quality Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament designed for all FDM/FFF desktop 3D printers. It ensures consistent extrusion and prevents nozzle blockages.
Polylactic Acid (PLA) is a non-toxic industrial thermoplastic — a 100% biodegradable, bio-based material. It is easy to print with, durable, and reasonably strong, making it one of the most practical filaments on the market for 3D printing. PLA is non-toxic and does not emit unpleasant odours during printing.
PLA filaments are therefore the first material recommended to beginners in 3D printing. Their ease of use also makes them ideal for creating 3D-printed parts for design work, printing models and prototypes during product development to confirm concepts, test form, verify fit, and more. Models and parts printed in PLA are widely used for product demonstration and presentation in architecture, gaming, and the film industry, and are also used to manufacture fixtures and accessories.

Recommended Print Parameters for Premium PLA
Raise3D Premium PLA filament can be printed under conditions similar to most other PLA filaments.
- Nozzle Temperature: 190 – 220 °C
- Build Plate Temperature: 25 – 60 °C
- Layer Height: 0.1 – 0.25 mm
- Print Speed: 35 – 90 mm/s
- Layer Fan: On
- Drying Temperature: 55 °C
Printing Notes for Premium PLA:
- It is strongly recommended to use a layer fan to improve part surface quality and to keep the temperature inside the print chamber consistently below 60 °C.
- PVA can be used as a cold-water-soluble support material for PLA.
