How to Use UltiMaker Cleaning

Using the UltiMaker Cleaning nozzle cleaning filament is the most effective way to remove blockages and keep print cores in optimal condition. UltiMaker Cleaning filament withstands higher temperatures than PLA and is transparent, allowing you to visually assess the effectiveness of the cleaning process.

This filament can be used to clean the print core of UltiMaker 3D printers via hot and cold pulling. It is also ideal for maintaining other printers that use 2.85 mm and 3.0 mm filaments.

• Hot pulling removes larger particles of carbonised material from the print core when it is blocked.
• Cold pulling removes the remaining fine particles, ensuring a thorough clean of the print core.

Regular maintenance every 3 months is recommended. Deactivate the print core if no material exits the nozzle for at least 10 minutes.
