AgiBot G2 Air — bimanual mobile robot for manipulation and light transport tasks in dynamic environments, equipped with an omnidirectional base and continuous peripheral perception. Its two articulated upper limbs allow it to interact with shelving and workstations without requiring structural adaptations on the shop floor. 360° autonomous navigation optimises continuous intralogistics flows in narrow aisles.

Technical performance and operational advantages

  • Load capacity: 3 kg per arm — Handles parcels, electronic components and retail packaging without compromising stability while moving.
  • Travel speed: 1.5 m/s — Reduces intralogistics transit times by adapting its pace to the flow of operators on the shop floor.
  • Vertical range: 0 to 1800 mm — Reaches goods positioned from floor level up to high shelves without requiring external lifts.
  • Joint tactile sensitivity: < 0.5 N — Regulates contact pressure in real time to handle fragile objects without risk of deformation.
  • Kinematic architecture with 26 DoF: replicates coordinated movements to access complex industrial containers.
  • Omnidirectional platform: performs turns on its own axis and immediate lateral movements in narrow aisles.
  • Continuous hot-swap batteries: support hot replacement and autonomous return to the charging base without shift breaks.
  • Sim2Real training: directly transfers grasping policies validated in synthetic environments to the physical robot.

Dynamic capabilities and design of AgiBot G2 Air

The robot's mobile chassis is designed to move smoothly through narrow aisles where conventional rigid platforms encounter geometric limitations. The omnidirectional base performs guided turns, full rotations about its own centre of support and millimetre-precise lateral movement to approach preparation tables or active machinery.

The integration of articulated arms with seven degrees of freedom and a reach of 750 mm makes it possible to retrieve items located at the bottom of standard industrial boxes and containers.

Load management and torque control

Each arm operates with a nominal load limit of 3 kg, supervised by algorithms that calculate the inertia, angular acceleration and centre of gravity of the object throughout the trajectory. The dynamic control responds on a millisecond scale, compensating for small variations in friction in the gripper.

The mechanical system incorporates physical resistance detection and preventive force decoupling to stop the applied force if it detects abnormal contact with machinery or surrounding personnel.

Retail restocking: methodical placement of retail items on narrow shelving units.

Sensory perception and collaborative safety

The unit integrates 3D LiDAR sensors, RGB-D cameras, panoramic vision and ultrasonic transducers to generate uninterrupted spherical 360° coverage. This scheme identifies unexpected objects in its path and automatically modulates forward speed according to the proximity of people.

Collaborative safety includes immediate shutdown upon direct physical contact around the perimeter of the chassis, allowing it to operate in retail areas and warehouses without installing perimeter safety barriers.

Development workflow and teleoperation

Compatibility with Sim2Real methodologies makes it possible to train neural vision and grasping models on physics simulation platforms such as Genie RL and AgiBot World. Trajectories refined in digital twins are exported directly to the controller of the real hardware.

For unforeseen situations or highly variable tasks, the platform has an immersive low-latency teleoperation module with real-time stereoscopic signal and assisted positioning with gravity compensation.

Application areas

  • Retail and distribution: restocking goods on narrow shelving, reorganising stock and optical reading of information labels.
  • Parcel logistics centres: agile induction of shipments onto sorting belts and continuous sorting of light parcels.
  • Manufacturing and electronics lines: feeding parts to test cells and safe transport of delicate integrated circuits.
  • Large retail spaces: internal transfer of products and rotating inventory during public opening hours.
  • Hospitality sector: quiet distribution of supplies and logistical support on the floors of hotel establishments.

Compatibility and physical integration

The mechanical layout and mounting interfaces follow the hardware standards of the MEgo ecosystem, allowing seamless adaptation of end effectors, compatible grippers and industrial fast-charging stations.
