Raise3D Premium PVA+ Auxiliary Filament
The Raise3D Premium PVA+ filament for 3D printing is an auxiliary material for dual-extruder printers that forms water-soluble support structures.
This polyvinyl alcohol-based PVA+ material is designed to build supports when printing parts with complex geometries or those requiring an excellent surface finish and dimensional accuracy. Premium PVA+ stands out for its enhanced thermal stability and strong adhesion in combination with PLA, PETG, Polyamide (PA) / Nylon, and more — making it ideal for printing support structures when using different types of filament. PVA+ support structures dissolve readily in cold water, leaving a smooth surface on the 3D printed part. This filament is non-toxic and biodegradable once dissolved in water.
Key Features of Raise3D Premium PVA+ Filament
- Optimised formula with improved printability and thermal stability
- Excellent solubility in cold water
- Ideal for multi-material 3D printing
- Perfect auxiliary material for 3D printing
- Leaves a smooth surface on other materials
- Waste can be disposed of via household drains*
* This material is not 100% biodegradable, but it can be disposed of via household drainage with an excess of water.
Water-Soluble PVA Filament for 3D Printing
- Highly convenient when 3D printing parts with complex geometries
- Facilitates printing of large overhangs and cavities
- Ideal for 3D printing parts with moving components
Recommended Usage Conditions for Premium PVA+
- After unpacking, ensure the material is properly dried before printing to avoid print issues.
- The recommended build plate temperature is 60 °C.
- The print temperature must not exceed 225 °C for more than 5 minutes.
- Raise3D Premium PVA+ is compatible with most common build plate adhesion coatings.
- The dissolution rate of Raise3D Premium PVA+ in water depends on the volume of the printed object, as well as the quantity and temperature of the water.
- Using water at a higher temperature (up to 70 °C) will speed up the dissolution process. However, to avoid deformation of the part during dissolution, the water temperature must not exceed the softening temperature of the base material used — particularly for PLA (water temperature below 60 °C).
