BioMed Black Resin Biocompatible Resin

The Formlabs biocompatible resin BioMed Black Resin has been designed specifically to raise the standards of medical care. Advanced tools can now be available in any healthcare facility within hours, thanks to 3D printing with Formlabs medical-grade polymers.

Formlabs continuously expands its range of materials for its 3D printers. The Formlabs BioMed resin family is designed for a wide variety of applications where performance and biocompatibility are critical. These materials are developed and manufactured in ISO 13485-certified facilities, and are compatible with standard disinfection and sterilisation methods.

Additive Manufacturing in the Medical Sector

BioMed Black Resin is a rigid, matte biocompatible photopolymer resin, ideal for applications requiring prolonged skin contact or brief contact with patient mucous membranes.

Parts printed with BioMed Black Resin can be processed using standard solvent disinfection and sterilisation methods. BioMed Black Resin is manufactured in an ISO 13485-certified facility and holds USP Class VI certification. It is therefore a fully safe material for use in the pharmaceutical sector and in drug delivery systems.

  • Print resolution: 100 µm, 50 µm.
  • Post-curing required.
