Power and Speed: Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W SLS 3D Printer

Eliminate production bottlenecks. The Formlabs Fuse 1+ 30W is designed to take you from concept to final part in just hours. Equipped with a powerful fiber laser and a next-generation galvanometer system, this selective laser sintering (SLS) machine doubles the print speed of its predecessor.

It’s not just about printing faster. By integrating an inert atmosphere system, you achieve two major technical benefits: parts with superior mechanical properties and a "Zero Waste" workflow that allows you to maximize the recycling of unsintered powder.

Build Volume: 165 × 165 × 300 mm

Why is the Fuse 1+ Twice as Fast and More Profitable?

The technological leap of this model focuses on optimizing your time and reducing operational costs. These are the key factors that make the difference:

  • 30W Laser: The increased thermal power melts powder at higher speeds, allowing you to manufacture short-run batches without unnecessary wait times.
  • Optimized Powder Management: Its internal redesign allows for the use of exclusive technical materials that require high-precision handling.
  • High-Performance Software: Integration with PreForm offers processes up to 3 times faster than the previous generation, significantly shortening file preparation time.
  • High-Density Packing: Utilize every millimeter of the workspace by nesting multiple geometries into a single powder block to maximize the ROI of every print.

Nitrogen Atmosphere: Resilient Parts and 70% Material Recycling

One of the most valuable technical features of this model is the ability to inject inert gas. Why is this a critical factor for industrial manufacturing?

First, for the final strength of the model. By injecting nitrogen, you eliminate oxygen from the chamber during sintering. This non-oxidizing environment prevents material degradation under heat, resulting in parts that are less brittle and have higher ductility. This is an indispensable feature for manufacturing end-use components destined for demanding environments like the automotive or aerospace industries.

Second, for the direct profitability of your raw material. In the absence of oxygen, the surrounding powder that supports the part (green powder) does not oxidize or lose its properties. When working with Nylon 11 or Nylon 11 CF under standard conditions, the refresh rate is limited to 50%. However, by activating the inert atmosphere, you can reuse up to 70% of the powder. You will only require 30% fresh material per cartridge, which drastically reduces the cost per part.
