xTool F2 Ultra UV with the Auto Streamline™ Conveyor is a 5 W, 355 nm UV galvanometer laser engraver bundle engineered for both micron-level precision work and high-volume batch production. The conveyor expands the surface working area from 200 × 200 mm to 200 × 500 mm, supports up to 10 kg of material, and uses the built-in smart camera to identify and engrave each item automatically — turning a precision desktop engraver into a mini production line.

Why UV at 355 nm Changes Everything

Most desktop lasers operate in the infrared spectrum — they engrave by generating heat. The 355 nm UV laser works through photochemical bond-breaking: high-energy photons disrupt molecular structures with virtually no thermal transfer to surrounding material. This cold processing is why the F2 Ultra UV produces burn-free edges, requires no pre-coating or post-polishing, and processes heat-sensitive substrates that would be destroyed by CO₂ or fiber alternatives.

The UV spot size is 0,02 × 0,02 mm — over 100× smaller than a CO₂ spot. Combined with 0,001 mm vector resolution, this physical advantage makes it possible to engrave text as small as 0,3 mm, mark watch movements and chips with 0,2 mm positional accuracy, and create 3D subsurface sculptures inside glass with museum-grade sharpness.

Cold Processing: No Burns, No Cleanup, One Step

The difference between thermal and cold laser processing is visible immediately on wood. A conventional laser leaves dark, scorched edges. The F2 Ultra UV produces clean relief texture with zero charring — no masking tape, no chemical treatment, no sanding. This clean-process behaviour extends to soap, chocolate, silicone, and ceramics — all materials that warp or discolour under heat.

Factory Productivity, Home-Use Friendly

The Auto Streamline™ Conveyor closes the gap between a single-piece precision engraver and a production system. It comes pre-assembled — one cable connects it to the F2 Ultra UV, and the machine's smart camera takes over from there. The image below shows both contexts: a fully automated factory-style conveyor setup versus the same unit running batch jobs on a home desk, operated by a single person with a laptop.

Auto Streamline™ Batch Production

Simply place materials on the belt, confirm in xTool Creative Space, and collect finished pieces. The smart camera automatically identifies the shape of each item on the conveyor and maps the engraving design precisely to it — no manual repositioning between pieces. The image below shows a batch of eight personalised steel flasks engraved sequentially in a single run.

Expand Working Area 2× with the Conveyor

The F2 Ultra UV's standard surface working area is 200 × 200 mm. Installing the conveyor extends the engraving length to 500 mm — a 2× increase — allowing large-format designs and long-item production. The image below shows the 220 × 500 mm working field lit with the laser preview grid, with clear dimension callouts.

F2 Ultra UV + Conveyor: The Complete System

The image below shows the two components of this bundle: the xTool F2 Ultra UV (with its amber-tinted protective enclosure and external touchscreen controller) and the Auto Streamline™ Conveyor — a compact aluminum-alloy platform that connects directly to the machine's base with dedicated fastening pieces.

Large-Size or Large-Quantity: Both Covered

The conveyor handles two distinct production modes. For large formats, it moves the material under the stationary laser — a family photo printed across 220 × 500 mm becomes one uninterrupted job. For small-item batches, multiple identical objects are placed side by side: jewellery pendants, wood spoons, business card blanks, or branded tokens — all engraved in a single pass.

Smart Camera: Set It and Walk Away

The smart camera inside the F2 Ultra UV does more than preview — it identifies each object's contour on the conveyor and automatically maps the design to it. The image below shows xTool Creative Space detecting the circular coaster shapes on the belt and positioning the camping design to each one, while the operator monitors from a laptop.

Glass Mastery: 3D Inner Engraving and Surface Work

No other desktop laser handles glass like a UV source. The F2 Ultra UV focuses the beam beneath the surface of glass blocks, crystal balls, and transparent acrylic to create permanent 3D subsurface engravings — the outer surface remains entirely untouched. Speed is up to 180% faster than traditional UV machines. Surface operations include flat engraving, embossing, cutting, and rotary engraving up to 150 mm diameter.

Two switchable field lenses — one optimised for inner engraving (70 × 70 mm), one for surface work (200 × 200 mm) — let a single machine cover both workflows without any mechanical modification. These lenses are specific to the F2 Ultra UV and cannot be interchanged with standard F2 Ultra optics.

Dual 48 MP Cameras: 0,2 mm Positioning Accuracy

The F2 Ultra UV integrates two 48 MP cameras working in tandem for autofocus, automatic positioning, and real-time preview — achieving 0,2 mm positioning accuracy, 60% more precise than single-camera systems. LiDAR ranging adds a second verification layer for accurate focus on curved and irregular surfaces.

Micron Precision for Jewellery, Watch Parts, and Microelectronics

A 0,001 mm vector resolution and 0,00133 mm motion resolution in inner engraving mode produce detail that rivals industrial marking systems. Text micro-engraved on a diamond ring remains readable under magnification while leaving the gemstone surface entirely undamaged.

Material Versatility: What Other Lasers Cannot Reach

The 355 nm wavelength is absorbed by nearly all materials — including fully transparent acrylic, clear glass, and silicone — where CO₂ and fiber sources reflect or pass through without effect. Commercial applications include keyboard keycap legends, green acrylic business cards, metal compass medallions, denim fabric, ceramic mugs, glass spirits bottles, and silver jewellery.

High-Value Output: Premium Products at Scale

UV laser output commands premium pricing because no other desktop process achieves the same combination of resolution, material range, and clean finish. With the conveyor added to the workflow, those premium products can now be produced in volume: personalised crystal photo blocks, engraved metal rings, feather-etched champagne flutes, 3D crystal balls, and resin pendants — all at batch scale.

Safe by Design: Class 4 Laser with Full Enclosure

The F2 Ultra UV ships pre-assembled with Class 4 laser safety certification. An emergency auto-stop halts the beam immediately if the enclosure is interrupted. The conveyor is compatible with the protective enclosure — keep the enclosure no more than 5 mm above the material surface during operation. Only professionally trained personnel should operate the system when the conveyor is in use, as diffused laser beams may exit the enclosure openings. The machine operates from 10 °C to 30 °C and stores down to -10 °C.

Conveyor Build Quality: PU Belt, Aluminum Alloy Frame

The conveyor belt is made from PU material certified to California Proposition 65 standards — a safer, healthier alternative to common PVC belts. The aluminum alloy frame weighs only 8,545 kg (product weight), making it easy to reposition. The PU belt operates across the full 500 mm travel length and handles items up to 81,5 mm thick. The compact 1002 × 290 × 89 mm footprint fits alongside the engraver on a standard workbench.

Expert Verdict: This bundle solves two problems at once. The F2 Ultra UV closes the capability gap for cold-process UV work on glass, ceramics, and transparent plastics — a gap historically requiring industrial equipment costing ten times more. The Auto Streamline™ Conveyor converts that precision machine into a batch production system. The smart camera's automatic object detection is the key enabler: it removes the manual repositioning bottleneck that makes repetitive small-item engraving impractical on conventional galvo systems. For jewellers, gift producers, and small production studios that need both high-quality one-off work and efficient batch runs from the same hardware, this combination is the logical configuration.
Tech Tip: Do not laser cut materials directly on the conveyor belt — the laser beam will fall on the PU surface and permanently damage it. Use the conveyor only for engraving operations. When switching between the inner engraving lens and the surface engraving lens, always re-run autofocus calibration in xTool Studio before the first job. The two lenses have different focal lengths; skipping recalibration produces out-of-focus engravings that cannot be corrected. Keep the K9 calibration block from the inner engraving pack accessible for quick verification.
