The engraver works not only with soft metals (copper, aluminium), but also with hard ones: stainless steel and titanium. The device is designed specifically for metalwork. The single-laser xTool F2 Ultra is not intended for engraving wood, filaments (except a small number of technical filaments), or plastic. For those applications, the dual-laser xTool F2 Ultra is the better choice, as it supports all major materials.
