Introducing the Form Auto hardware extension for the Form 3+ and Form 3B+ 3D printers — Formlabs' photopolymer 3D printers. It forms part of the Formlabs Automation Ecosystem for SLA/LFS 3D printing.
Working alongside the new flexible Build Platform 2 with its steel build surface, Form Auto automatically removes finished models once printing is complete and starts the next job without any operator intervention. It is a complete, turnkey solution for 24/7 production on a Formlabs resin 3D printer. With it, affordable serial 3D printing becomes a reality: no human intervention, minimised cost per part, and savings of up to 80%.
What is the Automation Ecosystem?
The Automation Ecosystem is a solution comprising three new products: Form Auto, Fleet Control, and the Resin Pumping System.
- Form Auto: a hardware extension compatible with any of the following printers: Form 3, Form 3+, Form 3B, or Form 3B+. Once a print job is complete, Form Auto automatically opens the printer cover and removes the printed parts from the flexible Build Platform 2, after which the printer begins the next print.
- Fleet Control: unlocks advanced new features in PreForm and Dashboard software, using automation and workflow optimisation for advanced fleet management via centralised queue control and automatic printer assignment.
- Resin Pumping System: delivers an uninterrupted supply of 5 litres of resin via a pumping system. This allows 3D printers to operate continuously with five times fewer cartridge changes.
