AgiBot C4 — an autonomous floor-scrubbing robot for cleaning retail floors and warehouses, with compact dimensions for driving through narrow aisles. Unlike manual ride-on scrubbers, it independently builds its own cleaning route and requires no operator at the controls. Automatic charging, water refill and drain cycles eliminate manual intervention throughout the shift.

Key features and benefits

  • Minimum aisle width: 600 mm — The robot passes through gaps as wide as a floor tile without altering its cleaning route.
  • Maximum productivity: 1400 m²/h — Covers a large retail floor or warehouse space in a single autonomous cycle.
  • Debris collection rate: 95 % — Sweeping and washing in a single pass leave the floor ready for immediate use.
  • Autonomous routing: one-touch zone route planning with automatic recharging, refilling and draining eliminates manual operator intervention throughout the shift.
  • Positioning in dynamic environments: multi-line LiDAR combined with visual perception and automatic map updating lets the robot navigate even when the placement of goods or shelving changes.
  • Self-servicing components: the brush roller module, squeegee and wastewater tank have a self-cleaning function. This cuts daily maintenance workload by more than 60 %.

Navigation and environmental adaptation

Manoeuvrability in narrow aisles

The AgiBot C4 passes through gaps 600 mm wide and turns within an 800 mm radius — fitting within the width of a standard floor tile. This allows it to service narrow aisles between shelving units and rows of retail equipment without manual path correction.

Positioning in dynamic conditions

Multi-line LiDAR (a laser rangefinder that maps the space) works together with the visual perception system to determine the robot's position relative to its surroundings. The room map updates automatically, so rearranged shelving or temporary obstacles do not stop the cleaning cycle.

Cleaning process automation

One-touch zone planning builds a cleaning route for the selected area and starts the cycle without further operator intervention. Automatic recharging, automatic clean water refilling, dirty water draining and detergent replenishment functions support continuous operation throughout the entire shift.

Once a zone is finished, or when the battery is running low, the robot returns to the base station on its own, shown below. There, fluids are replenished and the battery is charged simultaneously.

Hardware reliability

The AgiBot C4 hardware platform is certified to ISO9001 and features pre-filtration of dirty water, reducing the risk of valve and pump clogging. This extends the intervals between maintenance of the hydraulic system components.

The main structural components — brush rollers, sensor camera, wheel unit and LiDAR module — are shown in the composite image below.

Comprehensive cleaning technology

Sweeping, washing and drying

The front brush collects debris while the rear washing and squeegee unit handles wet floor cleaning, achieving a debris collection rate of 95 %. Separating the dry and wet cycles prevents re-contamination of an already washed area. The moisture-retention design performs washing even with minimal water consumption.

The interaction of the side brush, rotating roller and washing unit with the floor is shown in the close-ups below.

Self-servicing components

The removable brush roller module, squeegee and wastewater tank are equipped with a self-cleaning function after each cycle. This reduces daily maintenance workload by more than 60 %.

Diagnostics and operating economics

The self-diagnostic system detects over 90 % of faults before they affect cleaning quality. Combined with a durable component design, this reduces the total cost of ownership over the robot's entire service life.

Applications

The result of the AgiBot C4's work on a hard floor is shown in the image below. The tiled surface is cleaned in a single pass with no residual dirt traces.

In warehouse facilities, the robot combines cleaning of aisles between shelving with monitoring via the data dashboard shown below.

  • Supermarkets. Narrow aisles between shelving require a driving width of no more than 600 mm. This allows the robot to clean the sales floor during working hours without blocking customer passage.
  • Metro stations. High passenger footfall creates constant floor contamination. Automatic water and detergent refilling allows the cleaning cycle to continue without stopping for a refill.
  • Warehouse complexes and workshops. Large areas are covered at a productivity of 1400 m²/h, while automatic map updating accounts for pallet movement and temporary obstacles along the route.
  • Hotels. A noise level below 65 dB(A) allows lobbies and corridors to be cleaned in the presence of guests without disturbing the peace.
  • Office buildings. Autonomous zone-based routing allows multiple floors or sections to be serviced without constant staff supervision.
  • Showrooms and shops. Combined sweeping and washing in a single pass ensures a presentable floor appearance before opening to visitors.

Compatible surfaces and coverings

  • Marble: a compatible hard surface for wet cleaning.
  • Epoxy flooring: resistant to the brush unit and washing solution.
  • PVC flooring: suitable for a daily sweep-and-wash cycle.
  • Ceramic tile: a standard surface for retail and public spaces.
  • Abrasive flooring: an industrial surface used in warehouses and workshops.
